Crafting with my Nephew !

My nephew David spent a couple of days with me during his school summer holidays, he enjoyed doing a bit of crafting with me besides watching telly and playing with his DS gadget :-) ...... David loves using my computer and wanted to try out my card making programs, this is the card he made for his friends birthday...the caption was his own idea --lol !

Isn't it nice to see boys interested in crafting .... he also loves tapestry which he did at school !!  .... but it would take second place to football, cricket, rugby .....and playing on his playstation ---lol !!

Thanks for visiting my blog.

Two in row !

Hello bloggers ---sorry  i've been neglecting my blog again ! I've been really busy making cards as June and July are very busy times for celebrations in our family but was unable to take pic of them as son took the camera on holiday with him ---hmmmm !! ......  anyway got it back now so here are a couple i managed to photograph before they went into the post ---lol !

Its quite some time since i used "Iris Folding" on a card so when i was given this pattern by a friend i couldn't wait to try it out. I've got to say i love the finished results ---can't wait to try it out in a different colour !  Hope you like it also!

I made this card for a friend, i know she will love this Sarah Key image. I used my Promarkers to colour it, i'm not very good at shading yet but keep trying--lol !    I'm sorry the pic is a bit fuzzy tried a few times to take a pic but it didn't make any difference, anyway hope you like it.

Sarah Kay !

I made this card for one of my friends birthdays last week, its an easel card which i love to make. I know she received it a few days ago so its safe to post it now!
I coloured the image with "Promarkers", the papers were free downloads from http://www.papercraftinspirationsmagazine.co.uk/?catname=/FREE%20Templates  (the one i used was "Flutterby Fancies" )

I'm quite new to Promarkers but love using them, i'm trying not to use too many colours on my images and also pick the papers i'm going to use before i start to colour the image which i find really helps !

Hope you like it !

Brothers birthday

http://craftymomentscardmaking.blogspot.com/2009_08_01_archive.htmlI made these two cards for my brothers birthdays, they share the same birthday but there is 6 years difference both being  born in the 50's and played these games in the days when there were no computers or game consuls  --there is always a lot of ribbing going on as to who's Birthday it is on the day--lol !

You can download the free sheets i used and more on Vince Ballards blog ----

I think Vince is very talented, i love his ideas ! I hope i have done his images justice -- my brothers loved the cards i made for them, hope you like them  !

Cupcake

I love cupcakes --who doesn't ! --  just the look of them makes my mouth water --lol !

I coloured this image with Sakura pens using water and a paint brush, this way the ink isn't so heavy. I added a nice red gem for the cherry and a bow to finish it off !

Hope you like it !

Unusual Silver Wedding card !

This card is not the traditional silver wedding card but the person its for is quite young and likes cutie type cards so i came up with this one, hope you like it !

I coloured the image with my new Promarkers ---just learning so nothing complicated,  i added some Glamour dust which adds some sparkle and a ribbon to finish it off. The message was embossed in Silver --had to have something silver on it !

Wedding card !

The image on this card was painted at a class i went to with Promarkers,  i used some glamour dust to add a bit extra sparkle which doesn't show up very well in the pic. I used the Cuttlebug hearts folder down the centre but as it was an A5 card it wouldn't go through the Cuttlebug the right way, i had to mount the two pieces of embossed card down the centre and join it secretly underneath the image ---what we have to do -lol!

The ribbon idea came from a bought card --- i punched a hole at the top and slotted a doubled piece of ribbon and then slotted it underneath the fold on the other side ---if you can understand that !!

Hope you like it !
