Engagement card

Hi Everybody, sorry its took me so long to post a card .... my mojo just went awol ..:-(  ..... its back now just in time to make this card  :-)
The card is for my Niece and her boyfriend of two years who got engaged while holidaying at Centre Parks. Steve took her out on the lake in a boat (so she couldn't run away) so i thought this "Lilli of the Valley" image was perfect...lol!

The image is from a pre coloured sheet of 6 different images. I used the Tied Together embossing folder and a paper doily behind.

Niece's birthday!

I made this card for my niece who's birthday is this weekend.

I stamped the Butterflies on the card using a set from Craftwork cards.
I used Stamp in up ink .... i have a set of small inks which is so useful when i am starting out with Stamping as i have a whole set of inks without it costing me too much, i can then replace each one for a larger ink pad as i use the small one up.
The butterfly is a die from Joy Craft .. Butterflies 6002/0027 ....
The border was cut using a Martha Stewart Layered Arches punch.

Diamond Wedding Anniversary

I was asked to make this card for a friend, first time I've done a Diamond Wedding Anniversary card ...that's a lot of years married!
I used an A5 card and added a greeting made on my computer. I matted and layered silver and white card inside each other and used my favourite corner punch. I cut a heart in silver with a Marian die and also used a punch with hearts for underneath the centre square which was cuttlebugged, i also added a silver scroll with a white bow tied to it and attached a silver metal flower with a diamonti brad! The Number was cut in soft glitter card with my Cricut!

We took this pic of the the "Parish church of St Mary and All Saints", Chesterfield which shows it leaning Spire!

We also visited Bakewell famously known for its Bakewell tarts (sweet pies). Its a lovely small town with some interesting shops including a well stocked cross stitch shop which sold other stitchery items.... NO CARD MAKING THOUGH :-( !

Beautiful butterflies.

Hi everybody, its been a lousy day today ... its rained all day.

I've had my stamps out to make a card each for my two niece's, they are twins so i like to make them similar. I used "Craftwork Cards" stamps and was really pleased with the effect they gave, they gave a lovely crisp impression and i used Stampin up inks, the colours are gorgeous. The cards were also from Craftwork Cards, i embossed the edges with cuttlebug folders. I used mirra card and glitter card for the butterflies

Golden Wedding card

A friend asked me to make this card after she saw the one i made a few weeks ago with the butterflies on. I like this kind of fold, i think i will be making a few more of these!

This pic shows it in the box .....

Side view shows the fold and detail better....

.....and the box i made for it. I think i could have made a better job of decorating the box but i'm not used to making them, i will try better next time!

Thanks for visiting my blog.

Hi friends, its a glorious morning and the sun is shining for a change instead of all the rain we have been getting. There are three days of football being played for the "Olympic Games" in our area, so its good to have fine weather for all the visitors to our region.

Today's post is a sympathy card which i made for a friend who's father died. Its just a simple card with some cuttlebugging on the front and a bunch of flowers from a decoupage sheet.

Hope you all have a lovely day and thanks for visiting my blog!

Dipping into my scrap box!

Hi everybody, i've been having a sort out and promised myself i would use something out of my scrap box/s every week. I have got 2 boxes ...one has toppers in (some made up) and other bits, the other has lots of bits of backing papers - embossed bits of card and stamped images so i have made two cards from them to show you.

First one was inspired by a Debbie Moor sample, i needed a card for a friends birthday and the grey cells weren't working :-(  ....I added a little bit of my own idea to it though ...lol!

For the next card i used a card with a lovely shaped edge from a Craftwork card's goodie bag ....i embossed the edge with a cuttlebug folder to give it a bit of interest. I used a flower topper that was already made up from my odds and ends box + some ribbon and stamped a message cut out with a "Stampin up" punch, the butterflys were peel-offs... again from my stash box..... I loved the end result.

Mother and son Christening cards!

Last week my niece and her baby son was christened, it was a lovely service and the church was decorated beautifully for the Queens Jubilee, also a flower festival was being held there that week.

I used a Clipart fairy set for Holly's card and added lots of Glamour dust.

George Williams Card was made using a computer generated message, i punched the strip across the centre of the card with a Martha Stewart punch. The cross was made from a set of die's from Spellbinders. The image is from a pre-coloured set from Lili of the Valley.

I have entered this card in the Ribbon Girl challenge.

Another image i have coloured!

Well as the heading says "another image i have coloured" oooh! As I've said before ....I'm not very good at colouring with promarkers, i can't seem to get the shading right! I think i prefer watercolours best!

I've made this card for my nephew who's 14 this birthday and is learning to play the guitar. The background was made in "Serif Craft Artist" the papers i used and the star came from as set i bought from "The Clipart Fairy" the image was a digital one but can't remember who it was from ....i will let you know when i find out!

I have entered this card in the Digital Tuesday challenge "Anything goes"

Tilda with rose

I have had this Tilda with Rose stamp for a ages, i was fortunate to win it on one of Bev Rochester's blog candy's months ago. I am not very good at colouring with promarkers, i get on better with watercolours for shading.... i never felt my images were good enough to post (most go in the bin) but after a bit of practice i thought i would show this one. I made it for a friend who loves Tilda!

The backing papers i used came from a set by Papercraft "Tilda Paperstack" and the message was computer generated!

I have entered this card in " Midweek Magnolias" Anything goes!

Golf from Hunkydory

Another card from Hunkydory, golf this time!  I made this one for my brother-in-law's birthday.

I used a A4 background card for the main card and folded it twice so you could see the landscaped images on it, i then used a topper half mounted onto the front. Nice and simple when you are in a hurry.

I made this card for a challenge but didn't get it finished in time as i wasn't well. It was made for the Less is More "YELLOW" challenge.
